TerraScapes: Hextiles

TerraScapes: Hextiles are a quasi-awesome modular terrain system released through Kickstarter Spring 2019 by MGStudio.  Tiles are 6" in width and slotted on each side so they may be magnetized together with 2x2mm neodymium magnets.  There are over 100 different Hextiles, allowing for maximum modularity!  

As a hobbyist myself, I desperately wanted a terrain that I could modify and dress up myself.  One which could be any environment that I could dream up.  This was the motivation behind Hextiles.  I am committed to share with you all my exploration into these new lands!  

<Printing Guidelines>

No supports are required!

All examples are printed at .16mm layer height in 3.5 to 4 hours per tile!  Changing the layer height will change the topology on the top side of the Hextiles!  A .08mm layer height will take approximately 6 hours per tile.

I set my Top Layers to 4 and Bottom Layers to 2 on all non-grid hextiles printed at .16mm layer height.  Gridded tiles may require 1 more bottom layer as they are all double sided with a blank grid on the bottom as well.  The same goes for smaller layer heights!  Infill is set to 15% but there may be some wiggle room there!
