I call them Hexfolds! And while alone they might not be that impressive, you'll just have to wait to see what I'll be pairing them with! I'm sure a lot of you will be able to find some other use for them with your own terrain too! I also thought they'd work well for elevating your large (winged) minis!
I'll be releasing the Hexfolding System for free by Labor Day weekend when I reveal what's coming next for TerraScapes! This simple modular scaffolding system can be adjusted to any incremental height from 1 to 8 inches. They are also made thin and sturdy. 2 braces with just 3 top and bottom layers print in about an hour! They feel strong when handling them and while I haven't tested how much weight they can hold, I'm confident to say the least!
In the meantime, Tis the season for my studio to be hot as hell! Those heat beds don't help none that's for sure. It's making me all festive fo-sure, like a chesnut roasting in the attic! I am really excited for another kickstarter! I absolutely LOVE what I’ve been able to do with the hextiles I’ve printed (still pretty new to 3D printing – upgrading my printer as of today) by switching filament at different layer heights. I’ve stretched some other files and cemented them to hextiles to form elevations, but am beyond excited to see a system custom designed exclusively for hextiles!
